Nursery Wall letters- My latest projects

I was contacted by a fellow MA resident whom stumbled upon this blog and contacted me paint wall letters for her 2 children, Joseph and Alana.  We found a mutual meeting spot and she gave me a blanket from Alana's Penelope Nursery Bedding Set from Pottery Barn, and a sham from Joseph's JoJo Designs 9-Piece Baby Crib Bedding Set - Come Sail Away Nautical.   What a treat it was to have a visual  I could refer to while I was mixing my colors.

 The bedding set pictured, is the Penelope Nursery Set by Pottery Barn Kids

Here is the finished product! :)

Getting Clues from Baby registries- Nursery Decor- Wall letters

I get very excited when I have a new project, especially when I am attempting to do something I haven't done before. The person that contacted me was looking for a creative baby shower gift for her friend; rather than the run-of-the mill baby registry selection.  You know the feeling- you understand the purpose of those registries, but at the same time, feel torn that it has taken the fun out of buying a gift. Why not use the registry to gather clues about the baby room, colors, and interest.   Mom choose this Bubbles Bedding set by Lambs & Ivy, with all the accessories. What a cute ocean theme!  You guessed it, found on her registry! :)

I found out the color of the wall , and created MATTHEW's letters to match the decor.  Now that's a gift! :)

 Bundle it up in something that can useful to the mamma, like a wicker basket and you are good to go.  This also goes with a similar bedding called  Bubble Bedding Set by Kids Line at Kids R Us,  and SoHo Designs Deep Sea Aquarium Baby Crib Nursery Bedding Set, 10 Piece.

Recycled Crayon Alphabet

Recycled Crayon Alphabet, originally uploaded by ZeeBree.
Everyone is always looking for creative ways to teach their children how to learn their letters and ultimately read. Admit it, that classic ABC song has been in your head before, and is probably in your head .....right..... now. :) (sorry about that) Well, these recycled crayons are the perfect size for those little hands and even include a picture on the letters to help them remember.
A=Apple, B=Bird, C=Cat, etc.

I am a major lost fan, and this is the first name that came to mind. :) They are available online on my  etsy store, and after only a few short days, I have had a lot of interest.  Hopefully, you will be one of them!

Roses from a different perspective and still keeping the theme..

For the holidays this year, I could not think of what to get the Aunt that has it all.  I decided to create a one of a kind rose painting, because it is a common theme in her home.  I've never painted flowers before, let alone roses, but thought it was worth a shot, and boy, was I pleasantly surprised. I used a few different cameras to shoot this.. mostly my cellular phones (thank you Blackberry and Samsung ),  so you may notice a few color variations.. but I promise it looks like the last one! :)

Thanks for reading!! More to come soon! :)
